Stay
If you’re staying at an AirBnB, search for “South Berkeley” spots (this is where Ciel is located) or somewhere near the Claremont Club to assure it’s a neighborhood with amenities.
If you plan on staying in San Francisco city, or perhaps take a lengthier stay in Napa or Sonoma counties and want some recommendations, we know all the best places to stay so just ask us!
Other Important Things
✥ We highly recommend you arrive Tuesday night and leave on Friday morning - because having space and being able to ground yourself before doing work like this with others is always a great idea.
✥ If you have to fly out immediately, book a flight after 7pm on Thursday to be on the safe side.
✥ Please don’t be late on Day 1 to respect the day’s agenda and the other folks in The Guild. Traffic in the morning can be unpredictable prior to 10am and again anytime between 4-6pm - so flying in the morning of be sure to take the earliest flight possible (anything that arrives after 8am in the SF Bay Area is not recommended)
✥ Because Berkeley is a few exits from the famous Bay Bridge, it can take longer than the length in miles looks on Google maps.
✥ Use the Waze app to estimate times for departure and arrival to the event. If you’re not staying at one of our recommended hotels, expect to need at least 45 minutes or more from any point in the central Bay Area by car.
✥ Attire: Wear what makes you happy and comfortable during the day and evening activities. Basically, bring your own individual style, but know that we will have photography and videography on site.
